IL DON is made only in a perfect year, from the best Shiraz and Cabernet barrels, aged for 18months in new French and American oak baroques and followed by another 12 months blended together in a large French oak vat to integrate the wine. This wine shows intense blackberry and cassis with liquorish, clove and mixed spiced on the nose. The concentrated palate delivers a seamless balance between finesse and power with dense black fruits, vanilla bean and mocha that coat the palate. Soft velvety tannins, fine acidity and piercing length deliver a wine with unrivalled complexity. This wine will age gracefully for 10-20 years.
